Please excuse my self indulgence, but it’s an exciting day for this blogger. Just under 12 months ago I started this little side-project as a bit of fun. Today, several hundred of you fine pedal-powered-people follow Carbon Addiction every day – sometimes it’s over 1,000 – from pretty much every corner of the planet. You’d be hard-pressed to find a country that hasn’t featured at one stage or another – Botswana, Peru, Iceland, Cambodia; they’re are all there – it’s quite humbling. Well, now it’s time for another watershed moment: because the first-ever Carbon Addiction book is on sale at the Apple iBookstore, as well as smashwords.com and several other major online retailers.
At just US$5.95 it’s about the cost of one measly inner tube, or perhaps two energy gels.
It’s a loosely-structured selection of my favourite posts from the last year, together with several feature articles as published in Bicycling Australia magazine, plus some new stuff too. If you like this blog, I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy the book. All 60,000+ words of it. And if you do, well, please let me know by posting a comment or two. And maybe even share the link on FB and Twitter. That would be even more awesome than seeing Simon Gerrans in yellow on Corsica earlier this year.
So endeth the spruiking…
