Adam Hansen, the man who makes his own cycling shoes and chugs beer whilst riding up HC cols, will ride all three Grand Tours in 2013. Just as he did in 2012. Making it an incredible seven GT’s in a row dating back to the Vuelta of 2011. Or to put it another way, around 24,000km of the highest quality stage racing you can get, in under 150 days.
Of course the more of these three-week pain-fests Hansen rides in succession, surely the harder it will be for him to finally miss one. Then again, if he stays fit and keeps impressing the powers that be at Lotto, that mightn’t be until 2020. Cheers!
