Couldn’t let the day pass without a shout out to the man with the best name in pro cycling, Garmin-Sharp’s 25-year old Australian, Steele Von Hoff. (He also boasts one of the best nicknames, “stainless”.)
The ex-Genesys NRS rider has been on the podium twice in the first four stages of the Tour of Poland, including last night when he won the bunch sprint behind solo breakaway winner, Taylor Phinney. As a result, Von Hoff wears the points leader’s jersey at the half way stage of the race.
Go Aussie.
Had the pleasure of meeting him at Xmas with the racing in Ballarat. A nice bloke who deserves the success through his hard work. And an Aussie as well. Go you good thing….
