“In an interview for Australian TV I made fun of Marcel’s haircut and when he saw the interview he came to my room and said that one day I’d have an ‘undercut’ haircut like him. Eventually we came to the bet that if he’d win three stages in the Tour, I’d get rid of my curls in exchange for an undercut haircut. I’m a man of my word so as soon as we find a hairdresser I’m going to walk around with the haircut I made fun of.”
