Cigarettes, wine and bread… I saw a vid (one of the Rapha ones I think) explaining how their handlebar bags carried a load of pork chops to get them through the race. And a candle on the front for when it got really dark.

Ever come across the (now defunct) Paris-Bordeaux race? 560km in a day. Imagine how many ciggies they needed to finish that one!!
