It’s true. I am not the most patient person on the planet. But from what I’ve observed over the years I’d venture to say am I far from alone amongst my cycling brethren in possessing DNA that makes me feel compelled to hurry most of the time.
We are not especially good at waiting.
For traffic lights to change.
For races/rides to start.
For online purchases to arrive.
For punctures to be repaired.
For coffee to be served.
For the next issue of our favourite cycling mag to be published.
For pay day to come so we can buy more gear we don’t really need.
And plenty more.
No, if we didn’t mind waiting around all day we wouldn’t be cyclists at all. We’d have played cricket. Or perhaps supported Cronulla.
